*Two Small Works by Listed American Artists*
Marshall Johnson Jr. (Mass. 1850-1921) and Frank A. Bicknell (Conn. 1866-1943)
Two charming yet small oil paintings by notable American artists. A charming nautical scene of two young boys in a sloop with the captain clutching a telescope. Signed lower left "MJ Jr". Oil on Wood Panel 9 1/2" by 6 1/2" (sight). Original frame. The other, a small, remarkably detailed landscape, titled verso "ROAD to the FARM - LYME, CONN." and signed, lower right "Frank A. Bicknell".  OOAB 4 3/4" by 5 3/4" (sight). Original frame.

*A FINE SELECTION of STONE FRUIT*

*An 18th Century Turned Foot Chest *
An attractive and tall 18th century turned foot chest having dovetailed and rose head nailed joinery and a nicely grained surface that was added in the first quarter of the 19th century. Replacement brasses.   Measures 35" wide 43 1/4" tall and 21 3/4" deep.

*A VERY EARLY NEW HAMPSHIRE CANDLE STAND*
Oh so early, this red painted Country Queen Anne Snake Foot stand has an unusual feature of an exposed mortise of its shaft through its top. Its cleat is secured with hand forged "T Head" nails and has the typical New Hampshire "blind jointed" base. Other than having some black paint removed from its shaft, the stand is in wonderful, original condition.  Circular top with appropriate shrinkage measuring 16 7/8" by 17  1/4" and standing 25" tall.
